Come sit a spell with my mother as she enjoys an afternoon with her fellow Tigers from Hutsonville High School in Illinois (it’s about halfway between Vincennes IN and Terre Haute IN on the Illinois side of the Wabash River).

They’re celebrating the 60th anniversary of their graduation from high school and it was truly a delight being able to meet Mom’s friends from yesteryear and share in their stories and camaraderie which was as if all of the intervening years had not passed by!

Mom winning the unofficial “who came the furthest to attend” title by a mere 8 miles was a happy bonus for a delightful day where I was lucky to see her smiling in a happy place! 🙂
